Hi Mandy,
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I am loving the planning team you have for this trip!
It sounds like you are asking about
Walt Disney World Resort Transportation options. My family loves the resort monorail because we usually stay at a resort with monorail access and the monorail provides the fastest service to our resort when we leave Magic Kingdom. We only have a problem exiting a park when it is right after a fireworks show has ended or is at park closing. We typically determine which line looks shorter and take that transportation back to the resort.
If your resort has water transportation from a theme park, I suggest a water taxi because the ride is usually peaceful. If you are just looking for the fastest option and your resort has monorail access, the monorail comes pretty quickly. If your resort only has access to bus transportation, you will need to take the bus. My favorite planning tool now is the
My Disney Experience mobile app. It helps us see estimated transit times and directions between locations.
One word of caution, Mandy. If you let one of the children read the map, mobile or otherwise, be sure she or he knows which way to turn the map. One of our girls had an epiphany while she was most assuredly leading us in the wrong direction in Magic Kingdom. She realized which way she needed to turn the map.
Finally, check out the new
Minnie Van Service. If it is available during your visit, it might make that trip back to the resort with exhausted kids a little easier!
Magic, memories and Minnie Mouse hugs,
Donyell
