My sister in law purchased all tickets on her account. I gave her my magicband numbers to link tickets to, but I have my own Disney app that I was wanting to activate them to on my phone. Can I do that? I’m afraid if I try it may mess everything up.

How ya doin' Amanda and welcome to planDisney!

It's always wonderful when a family can spend time together at the Walt Disney World Resort. And y'all are already on track since you've already purchased your Theme Park Tickets. Now I definitely understand your confusion since my recent travel party of 10 family members just did a big family trip. We certainly had a shall we say interesting time getting some of our Tickets allocated to the right people. I walked so you can run right on into the magic!

If your sister has purchased your tickets through her My Disney Experience account, the easiest way to get them to you would be via the My Disney Experience app. Here are the simple steps to get y'all on your way.

    1. Link yourselves together via the Family & Friends List. Just open the app and log in. You'll then want to tap the three-lined icon in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen. Scroll down until you see My Profile. Then go to the Family & Friends List where you'll have the option to Add a Guest. Follow the prompts to get yourselves all linked up.

    2. Now that y'all are linked together it's time to assign your Theme Park Ticket to you. Your sister-in-law will need to open her My Disney Experience app and tap that same three-lined icon. She'll then choose Tickets and Passes. She should see all of the Theme Park Tickets she purchased there. She can choose a ticket and tap the blue Reassign Ticket icon. Her Family & Friends List will appear where she can then choose your name. She will then tap the blue Reassign button and that ticket is yours!

Pro-tip: Once you're Theme Park Tickets are all in order, y'all need to make your Theme Park Reservations via the Disney Park Pass System. You'll need to have one in addition to your ticket for each day you plan to be in the parks to be able to enter.

Amanda, I hope I've been able to clear up any confusion for you. If you have any other questions, please feel free to come back for another chat!

    Happy planning!
