Hiya, Kelly!
Welcome to planDisney! I am delighted that you have stopped by with your question. What an amazing gift from your sister-in-law! I can't think of anything better than a trip to The Most Magical Place on Earth.
If your sister-in-law purchased the tickets in her name and opted for picking up the tickets from the Guest Relations locations at the entrance of the Walt Disney World Resort theme parks or the
Disney Ticket Center in Disney Springs, she will need to be the one to get the tickets. She will need a valid photo ID and confirmation of the order. There is also the option of
purchasing tickets as a gift. If your sister-in-law purchased the tickets through this process, gift recipients can pick up the tickets with a photo ID and gift receipt. This would be the only exception for someone other than your sister-in-law picking up the tickets.
When purchasing tickets, there is now an option for Florida residents to
verify their residency online. This time-saving step can eliminate the need to stop by Guest Relations. If your sister-in-law completed this step, the tickets will be ready for use. All you need to do is link the digital confirmation in your
My Disney Experience account. The digital confirmation with ticket ID numbers would be delivered in an email after purchase. After this step, you can access the parks with a
MagicBand or
Magic Mobile pass.
Once you have liked your theme park tickets, don't forget to make your
Disney Park Pass reservations. All four theme parks do require a reservation in addition to a valid theme park ticket. I would feel terrible if you were unable to enter the parks after receiving such a fantastic gift!
I hope that your upcoming visit is memorable and magical!
We'll see ya real soon!
Tammy
