Hi Selina!
Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question - I'm happy to help!
The
Disney Dining Plan has made our Walt Disney World Resort visits so much easier to budget for. By paying for our dining up front, it takes the guesswork out of planning how much we'll be spending on our meals throughout our vacation! It's nice to know that all of our dining has been taken care of before we arrive - so easy and convenient! I'm happy to hear you'll be participating in the Disney Dining Plan during your holiday.
What fun it will be to travel at the same time as your sister, and get to spend some quality time enjoying a meal together at Walt Disney World. With the Disney Dining Plan, the guests in your room will receive a certain number of meal and snack entitlements per day, depending on the dining plan you choose. The entitlements are not assigned to individual guests, and can be used any way you choose. You'll be able to use any and all of your meal allotments beginning on the first day of your vacation, so if you'd like to use some of your entitlements to pay for a meal for a dining party that includes your sister's family, you can absolutely do that. It is not necessary to link your reservations together on My Disney Experience to be able to dine together or to pay for your sister's meal. When your server asks if anyone is on the Disney Dining Plan, simply let him know that you have the plan, and will be using your credits to pay for the entire party.
I hope this helps you with your planning! Have a magical day! - Diane W.
