Hello! My sister is having a rather fast planned wedding and I was thinking Disney shower party would be great! I just don’t know if there’s enough time to get any kind of suggested reservations for a party of 5. The wedding is June 21st 2025

Greetings, Rita, and welcome to planDisney! First of all, congratulations to your sister and the whole family! The Disneyland Resort is the perfect place to celebrate such a happy time. I have good news for you about dining reservations.

There are so many different restaurants throughout the Disneyland Resort, and it's easy to make advance reservations through the Disneyland website or mobile app. Indicate the size of your party (five), select your preferred date and timeframe, and then check out your options!

I used the reservation tool just now, with a June 14, 2025 sample date. At the time of writing this, quite a few restaurants were still available. It's simply a matter of deciding where and when you want to go.

First, Rita, decide if this day will also include time inside the parks. There are some fantastic dining options and experiences in the parks. Keep in mind that, if you choose a restaurant inside Disneyland or California Adventure, you will need a valid theme park reservation and ticket. You can alternatively make dining reservations without theme park tickets at one of the Disneyland Resort Hotel restaurants or in the Downtown Disney District.

Here are some recommendations, Rita. Remember that reservation availability can change, and the earlier you book, the better.

    • Character Dining: Goofy's Kitchen (Disneyland Hotel) and Storytellers Cafe (Grand Californian Hotel) are two extra fun buffet options where Disney Characters stop at tables to greet Guests.
    • In-Park Spots: Carthay Circle, Lamplight Lounge, and Blue Bayou are three popular table service restaurants. While reservations for these locations tend to be taken quickly, there's still a chance you might see a few options available, especially if your date is flexible and if you check periodically.
    • Downtown Disney: Most restaurants still have reservations available. My family's favorite is Naples Ristorante e Bar, but Jazz Kitchen Coastal Grill and Patio is another good choice. The latter also has a schedule of live musical performances! For something more casual, you could have a meal and bowl at Splitsville!
    • Dining Events: If you plan on being in a theme park, dining events are a great way to maximize the magic. The World of Color Dessert Party sounds divine – you'd be seated with an excellent view of the show, and each person would have their own platter of treats and snacks.
After the meal, I think it would be fun to enjoy treats around the park or Downtown Disney. Churros and macarons, anyone? It could also be fun to shop – maybe each person can choose a different place to buy her a gift.

Rita, with a little pixie dust and some thoughtful planning, your sister's celebration can be truly unforgettable. I honestly don't think you'll have a problem securing a reservation for five people ahead of her big day, especially if you do it in the next few days and are flexible about where you eat. Please reach out if you have any other questions. We're always happy to help here at planDisney.

Congratulations, and best wishes to you and your family!
