Hi there, Teresa, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I'm so happy you stopped by with your question. Let's help you plan that magical vacation to the Walt Disney World Resort with your family!
I'm a lifelong Floridian myself, and for me, there's nothing like sharing my love of Disney with my family. I bet your sister feels just the same way! Plus, she's definitely piling up the "cool aunt" points with your kids!
So here's how the
Florida Resident Ticket program works. Adults who are Florida residents can buy Florida Resident Tickets for minor children (under 18). The Florida resident will need to show her
proof of Florida residency at a Guest Relations location, which can be done at the Theme Park entrances or at the new
Disney Ticket Center at Disney Springs. If your sister can't join you on your first day at Walt Disney World, she may be able to purchase and activate the tickets in advance, depending on what types of tickets you buy and the dates they're valid. You might want to
give Disney's Guest Relations a quick call to explain your situation and find out what options your sister may have.
Teresa, it looks like you'll be here in October. That's such a spook-tacular time to visit Walt Disney World! Do you plan on going to
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party? Your kids will love all the festive fun, and we just found out that Disney will "treat" us to a
brand new Halloween fireworks spectacular during this year's party. I'm so excited for you to get a chance to see it!
I hope this helps you plan a bushel full of fun for your family this fall, Teresa. Please come see us again if you have any more questions!
Keep Disney Dreaming,
Kathy K.
