Ahoy there, Karen!
A first time Disney cruise? Hip hip hooray! This makes my heart all happy with excitement for you. Get ready to have fun with
all that’s included in your reservation and to make lots of memories with your family.
I wish I knew what link they sent you about a surprise Disney cruise gift box because it sounds so cool! Looking all over the Disney Cruise Line website, I don’t see anything like this, but we can definitely come up with some ideas on our own.
The first one that rings in my head is a character call from Mickey, Goofy or Mickey and Minnie together! This call can be requested once you have logged into your
Disney Cruise Line account and access your reservation. Scroll down to the “Get Ready to Cruise” section, and you can click on the "Request a Call" box. After selecting the character(s), you will provide the ship, sail date, destination, phone number, and when you would like to have them call. Currently, these
character calls are available to residents of the United States, Canada (except Quebec), and the United Kingdom. Expect a confirmation email explaining what to do if you need to reschedule or if you happen to miss the call.
Additionally, there are some crazy good examples of ways people have surprised their loved ones with a Disney cruise shared on YouTube. Also, don’t miss these posts on the
Disney Parks Blog and
Disney Rewards sharing suggested ways to surprise family and friends with this glorious news.
Karen, I hope these details help you get ready to set sail with Captain Mickey and his crew. Cruise back by planDisney if you need any more tips or advice as you plan your magical adventure at sea.
Happy Sailing!
Sherry
