Hi Joanne,
Thanks for visiting planDisney! I LOVE a good sister trip to Disneyland. When my sister and I head into the park, we’re like Anna and Elsa on Coronation day, laughing our heads off and having the best time! Your future is littered with prizes, and I'm happy to help you prepare for the trip of a lifetime! After all, some people are worth melting for.
Right now, we don't have any updates on whether or when Walt’s Main Street Story Tour will return. I know that might be a Bibbidi Bobbidi bummer for you and your sister, but there is another limited-time tour currently available. The
70th Anniversary Guided Tour is taking place now, and will likely continue through your trip. I've heard great things about this tour, and it includes a keepsake and access to a reserved viewing area for nighttime entertainment. It might be a great alternative for you and your sister to soak up some Disney history!
During your 2026 trip, there's a chance that the
Food & Wine Festival could be happening at California Adventure. My sister and I love going to the Food & Wine Festival; it’s a paradise for any foodie! There are over 100 food and drink options to sample. You can purchase a
Sip and Savor Pass, which lets you sample four or eight different items (excluding alcoholic beverages). It’s a great deal and a fun way to try a variety of treats! The Disney Parks Blog usually releases a
foodie guide that’s super helpful when looking through all the options. I really hope they bring back the Sirloin Gruyère Mac & Cheese at the Garlic Kissed booth! I love it almost as much as Sven loves carrots.
You might also want to see if a Sweethearts’ Nite event will be happening at Disneyland. Sweethearts’ Nites aren’t just for couples. There are plenty of sweet moments to share with your sister at this exclusive
Disneyland After Dark event. Keep an eye on the Disneyland Instagram account for the latest updates on After Dark offerings. Because true love isn’t just for princes, it’s about sisters too.
I hope this information helps with your vacation planning, Joanne! If you have any more questions or need help with any other part of your sister's trip, feel free to reach out to me or one of my fellow planDisney panelists. We’d love to share more tips and ideas to add a little pixie dust to your vacation.
Happy planning!
