Hi! My sister and I will be cruising in February from Port Canaveral to castaway cay and I understand that we need our birth certificates and IDs to go. I was born to u.s. soldiers overseas and do not have a state issued birth certificate. Can I still go?

Ahoy there, and welcome to planDisney, Brandi!

Sailing with your sister in February? I love that you will create lasting memories aboard Disney Cruise Line that will stick with you for the rest of your lives. Who knows, this could become an annual event for you guys.

If you do not have possession of a valid US Passport and are not using an original or copy of your state-issued birth certificate, there are two additional options listed as acceptable alternatives: an original Consular Report of Birth Abroad issued by the Department of State or an original Certificate of Naturalization issued by US Citizenship and Immigration Services. Of course, you will still need your physical Government-issued photo ID. In this instance, I recommend reaching out to Disney Cruise Line directly to ensure you have the travel documents necessary for a smooth and enjoyable cruise experience.

We will be here to answer any additional questions you may have before the big embarkation day!

Have an amazing time with your sister!
