My sister, brother-in-law, nephew (18), mother & two boys (9 & 6) will be visiting. Since dad, my husband, can not join us, I will splurge this vacation. What is the best villa or top resort accommodations would you recommend? My family together

    Hi Roben!

In my opinion, the best rooms at Walt Disney World are the suites in the various Disney Deluxe Resort hotels, such as the suites in the Grand Floridian or the Polynesian Resort.

A general "class" of great rooms are the studios and the 1, 2, and 3 bedroom rooms available at Deluxe Villas. There are Deluxe Villas at the following resorts:
    • Wilderness Lodge
    • Animal Kingdom Lodge
    • Bay Lake Tower at the Contemporary Resort
    • Beach Club
    • Boardwalk
    • Old Key West
    • Saratoga Springs
The Grand Floridian is the flagship resort and it has a great location, being on Seven Seas Lagoon and on the Magic Kingdom monorail line. Bay Lake Towers and the Contemporary are also on the monorail; you can also walk from them to the Magic Kingdom. However, my favorite monorail resort is the Polynesian. My favorite Magic Kingdom resort is the Wilderness Lodge, but it is not located on the monorail.

I also really love the Beach Club, which has the best pool at Walt Disney World. The Beach Club also provides easy access to Epcot and Hollywood Studios. You can walk from the Beach Club to the International Gateway entrance of Epcot in about 5 minutes.  You can also easily walk to the Boardwalk area and enjoy the nightlife there.

I suggest ordering the free planning DVD and seeing what resort looks the most interesting to you. You should also purchase one or two tour books to get an idea of the various services and amenities offered by each hotel. My two favorite books are "The Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World" and "The Complete Walt Disney World" by Julie and Mike Neal.

Enjoy planning and write back if you have any more questions!
