Hiya, Allison! It sounds like you have a magical trip to the Disneyland Resort planned very soon! A celebration is in order—should I get the Mickey Mouse balloons ready?!
Even if your sister is the trusty keeper of your park tickets, I have great news—you can add them to your
Disneyland mobile app in a few simple steps!
Like all great things, you’ll start by opening the Disneyland app. Next, tap the menu button (the three-lined icon at the bottom right) and tap “My Tickets & Passes”. You’ll then click the blue “+” (plus sign) button on the top right, followed by “Link Tickets & Passes”. Here, you can link your tickets by using your mobile device’s camera or by typing in the ID numbers found on your tickets, whichever is easiest for you.
To link via camera, tap the "Camera" button at the top of this screen, followed by “Open Camera”. Place your ticket barcode within full view of the camera. The app will recognize the barcode, and just like magic, it will link your ticket to your app. You’ll repeat these steps for the rest of your tickets until they’re all linked in the app.
If you prefer to link the tickets by typing the tickets’ ID numbers, just tap the “Type ID” button, enter the ID from one of your tickets, and press the “Link Media” button to complete the process. Again, you’ll repeat these steps for all tickets until they’re all linked in the app.
While you’re in the app, it’s a great time to familiarize yourself with the rest of the magic that’s available at your fingertips. You can harness the app’s superpowers to make dining reservations or place a mobile food order. Picture this, Allison: you're strolling down Main Street, U.S.A., and suddenly, a craving for a Mickey Mouse Pretzel hits. With the app, you can order it ahead at
Refreshment Corner and skip the line! You can even manage your Lightning Lane entries if you choose to purchase
Lightning Lane Multi Pass or
Lightning Lane Single Pass.
I also love to use the app’s Tip Board feature to view current wait times for my favorite attractions. I often make a last-minute decision on which mountain to conquer first—
Space Mountain or
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad—based on the wait times I find in the app. To access this feature, just tap the menu button in the bottom right corner, then select “Today’s Plans” and press the “Tip Board” tab at the top left.
There’s one more important step before you head to the Disneyland Resort to add to your family’s core memories collection, Allison. Be sure to
make park reservations for each member of your party for the day(s) you'd like to visit!
Here’s a recap of your to-do list: Transfer those tickets, make those park reservations, and most importantly… have the most magical visit with your family at the Disneyland Resort!
