My sister bought myself and two kids Disneyland tickets in base. They are not military salute tickets. Does she need to be present at the gate?

Hiya, Cassie, and welcome to planDisney!

I want to start this off by sending a huge thank you to your sister for her service! It’s so sweet that she purchased tickets for you and your family to visit the Happiest Place on Earth. I’ll be happy to help clarify this for you!

Typically, the service member (or their spouse) must be present when Guests are using the multi-day Military Promotional Park Hopper or 1-Day, 1-Park Military tickets. Since your sister did not purchase these specially priced tickets, your family should be able to enter the park without her being present!

Bonus Tip: Consider adding Disney PhotoPass to your vacation! It’s a great way to delegate the photography duties so you can remain immersed in the magic. I’m sure your sister would enjoy seeing the magical photos that you all create, too! Some of my favorite PhotoPass spots are at the Disneyland Park Entrance (in front of the Floral Mickey) and the Sleeping Beauty Castle. You can check out a map of all of the PhotoPass locations within the Disneyland mobile app. After you open the app, tap the location pin button in the bottom toolbar, then scroll left, and tap “PhotoPass.”

Cassie, I hope this information was helpful and that you all enjoy yourselves at Disneyland! Feel free to come back and visit us here at planDisney if you have any additional questions as you plan your vacation.

Sending you faith, trust, and pixie dust,
    Karmeen
