    My sister booked a room and I’m listed as guest but it’s showing I’m ineligible to purchase our lightning lanes 7 days in advance. It only shows my sister is eligible. We are all connected in the my Disney app.

    Welcome to planDisney. I see that you will soon be arriving at The Most Magical Place on Earth, and it seems like Stitch might have found his way into your vacation plans. Although he is well-meaning, he can certainly be mischievous. I can help you get your vacation plans back on track. 

    Alrighty, I see that your sister has booked your room and listed you as a guest, and that you are both linked in the My Disney Experience app. You can begin purchasing and booking your Lightning Lane Multi Pass experiences 7 days prior to your arrival date of April 5th, so your booking eligibility opens on March 29th, starting at 7 AM EST. Let’s check a few things to ensure we’re not missing anything that could prevent you from booking when your window opens. The first thing we need to check is that you have valid tickets for your arrival. First, open your My Disney Experience app. From the home screen, tap the 3 bars (≡) in the bottom-right corner, scroll down, and tap Tickets & Plans. Here you should find your tickets with valid dates that coincide with your vacation dates. If, for some reason, those tickets are not showing, we’ll need to get them added. In this case, I would contact your sister to see whether your ticket appears in her app under the Tickets & Plans section. If it is there, she can click the assign ticket button to assign it to you. You can check whether everything is good to go using the following steps. From the My Disney Experience app home screen, tap the purchase button on the Lightning Lane Multi Pass screen. Tap your check-in date of April 5th. Next, choose any park you would like for this purchase. Let’s choose Lightning Lane Multi Pass for Magic Kingdom Park and tap continue. On the next screen, you should see that it says Not Eligible along with everyone who is linked to your reservation or party. Next to each name, you should see the date that you can purchase your passes in advance, which should be March 29th. If, for some reason, it does not say that, then I think your best bet is to contact Tickets & Hotel Reservations, and a friendly cast member will be able to assist you further.

    One of my top tips I would like to leave you with for using Lightning Lane Multi Pass is to remember that once you scan into your ride, you can book another pass while you wait in line. I would also monitor the My Disney Experience app for any rides that do not show a time slot you prefer. Guests frequently cancel their reservations, and you can then get their time slot.
