Hi Hannah,
You absolutely can visit the
Boardwalk without a theme park ticket. All the restaurants and entertainment are accessible within the Boardwalk resort. For casual dining, visit the
ESPN Club or
Big River Grille & Brewing Works. Want something more upscale: try the newly renovated
Flying Fish or the
Trattoria al Forno.
My new favorite place for a drink at Boardwalk is
AbracadaBar, which opened recently next to Flying Fish. Feel like dancing? Hit
Atlantic Dance Hall. Or take in the dueling pianos at
Jellyrolls.
You can use free Walt Disney World bus transportation from any of the theme parks or Disney Springs. If you are staying at another resort, I would recommend taking the bus to Hollywood Studios, then taking the short 10-minute walk to Boardwalk from there.
It also is easy to take a cab or Uber there. Even if you have a car, that can be best because parking is sometimes limited. And if you stay until the Boardwalk area closes at 2 a.m., a cab or Uber may be your only transportation option back to your hotel.
Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel, and have fun on your girls' weekend!
Wilma
