Hi there, Marilyn!
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I am so glad you sailed by with your question about booking a future
Disney Cruise Line vacation! If your sister is already onboard a
Disney Cruise Line ship – or headed to sea very soon – I can completely understand your fear of missing out on all the fun! Every time someone I know is headed out on an adventure with Captain Mickey I, while incredibly excited for them, am also quite envious of the fun and adventure that I know is headed their way!
While onboard, Guests can book a future Disney Cruise Line vacation or a placeholder (if they aren’t quite sure of the voyage they want to go on) for up to two staterooms. While always subject to change without notice, the current price for a placeholder is $250 but the catch is that they must book a stateroom for themselves as well. For example, my family was just onboard the Disney Wonder earlier this month and I booked a placeholder for my family and one for my sister’s family. Each stateroom was $250 but when we travel, we must travel together to take full advantage of the discounts attached with booking a placeholder while onboard. So, if you plan on traveling on a Disney Cruise Line vacation together within the next 24 months then she can most definitely book a placeholder for you, too!
With so many itineraries and the
Disney Cruise Line schedule released through the end of 2020, there are plenty to choose from and hopefully you will find one that works for all of you! Traveling with family or friends is always so fun because there is something for everyone to enjoy – and the best part about being on a cruise ship is that you can choose to spend as much (or little) time together as you choose to!
