Ka-chow, Tyler! Welcome to planDisney.
My family loved our stay at
Disney’s Art of Animation Resort. My son is obsessed with Ursula the Sea Witch from The Little Mermaid, so we chose to stay in that section of the resort – but we absolutely toured and spent time in each section so we could feel like we were right in the middle of our favorite movies. I think you’ll be really happy if it’s where you choose to stay.
The only standard rooms at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort are found in The Little Mermaid Section. In the Cars, The Lion King, and Finding Nemo sections, you will find
family suites, which feature a bedroom, a magical pull-down table bed, a sleeper sofa, and two bathrooms, along with a small kitchenette area. I have toured the Cars rooms, and they are so much fun for a Cars fan, with so many great details throughout the suite. While these rooms do cost more than the standard rooms, you may find it’s worth the cost to make a small Cars fan’s dreams come true, and space for your family to spread out (and a closed door if you have a napper!). A microwave in the room is a great bonus and means you could save some money preparing or reheating food in your room.
If that’s not possible for your budget, though, I would encourage you to consider The Little Mermaid section. You are welcome to walk over and use the Cozy Cone pool, take photos with the Cars parked throughout this section, and enjoy all the special Cars touches. When we stayed at this resort, we tried all the pools and it was great fun.
You will also find Lightning McQueen waffles in the
Landscape of Flavors food court! Even if you wake up in Ariel’s world, it’s not a far walk to be right in the middle of Radiator Springs. No matter where you are at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, you’ll feel like Simba, Tow Mater, Nemo, and friends are just a fin-flip away.
I hope this helps you choose the right
Disney Resorts Collection hotel room for your stay, Tyler. My fellow panelists and I share our
tips for selecting the right resort hotel for your vacation dreams in the Panel Extras, and I hope you find them helpful. Please come back and see us if we can help with any more questions as you plan and dream.
Wishing you a magical vacation,
