    Hello I am a single person and I usually stay at pop. I am thinking about camping on my next trip. Are there security guards patrolling the campgrounds. Thanks for the information.

    Hi Cheryl! The Fort Wilderness Campgrounds is one of my favorite resorts at Walt Disney World. There is such a different atmosphere then when staying at a typical resort. The quiet and peacefulness added to the room and wildlife makes this truly a special place.

    Although this resort looks very different from all the others it remains a resort under the same amenities. You have guarded entrance and you have complimentary transportation within the campgrounds as well as to all the theme parks and Downtown Disney. Disney security patrols the loops and common roads daily and there are many different cast members around constantly whether they are repairing things or cleaning up campsites.

    Camping would certainly be a different way to enjoy a Disney vacation. We have found the RV and tent sites some of the best in the country as far as amenities and physical layout. Enjoy!
