I am a single parent visiting with three kids (7, 5, 2). Looking for the best full-day experience for them. Also planning on visiting on 8/10 so they can experience the Halloween activity starting that day!

    Hi, there!

Welcome to planDisney, Cory. I'm so happy you stopped by! It's my pleasure to help you plan your upcoming visit.

My mom was a single parent and worked so hard to make sure my brothers and I made lots of magical memories at the Walt Disney World Resort. Traveling by yourself with three kids in tow is no easy feat, but I think she always chose the Walt Disney World Resort because she knew what a family-friendly destination it is!

Of the four theme parks, my top pick for young children is Magic Kingdom Park. This iconic park features lots of attractions that you can experience together as a family of four. To make the most of your day, plan to arrive shortly before the official opening time. The parks are usually the least crowded in the morning, which will minimize your wait times. I suggest heading straight for Fantasyland. There you'll find classic attractions that will immerse your kiddos in the magic of Disney storytelling! For a convenient lunch, place a mobile order at Casey's Corner or Columbia Harbour House. I suspect your kids will get a bit tired mid-afternoon. Take a nicely air-conditioned break at Mickey's PhilharMagic before experiencing even more pixie-dusted adventures!

It's super great that you have tickets for Disney After Hours Boo Bash. It's sure to be a frighteningly good time! Since this special event at Magic Kingdom Park doesn't begin until 9:30 PM, I suggest leaving the park with plans to return when the event starts. Your kids will love the Halloween-themed cavalcades and trick-or-treating throughout the park!

From one mom to another, my very best tip for a magical experience at the Walt Disney World Resort is to use a double stroller. Exploring the theme parks requires a lot of walking and those little legs tire easily! Double strollers are available to rent from all four theme parks, but you're also welcome to bring your own stroller.

I hope this was helpful, Cory. I'm wishing you and your kids a visit that is practically perfect in every way!
