Heigh-ho, Melanie!
It's off to
Walt Disney World you go! You must be so excited that your magical adventure is fast approaching. August is a fantastic time to visit. Many children in the United States will have returned to school, ending the peak of the summer travel season. Let's talk about rooming arrangements for your holiday.
Walt Disney World does not allow children under 18 to be the lead or only Guest in a
hotel room, so you cannot book two rooms with just one adult traveler. Instead of two connecting rooms, there are a few options for accommodations that feature separate spaces for you and the teens.
Disney's All-Star Music Resort and
Disney's Art of Animation Resort offer family suites. These spacious lodgings have two full bathrooms and three separate sleeping surfaces. You can also close off the main bedroom and bathroom from the rest of the suite for extra privacy. Bonus: you'll find a kitchenette in family suites at both resorts, perfect for storing beverages, leftovers, and quick breakfast items.
In addition to the family suites, one-bedroom villa accommodations in
Disney Deluxe Villa Resorts offer separate sleeping spaces. One-bedroom villas at
Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort and
Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas - Kidani Village have two full bathrooms. My family often stays in one-bedroom villas, and we love the "home away from home" amenities like in-room laundry.
I hope this is helpful, Melanie, and that you find a resort that works for you. If there is anything else we can do to make your vacation even more magical, don't hesitate to reach out again; we'd be delighted to assist you. Thanks for stopping by
planDisney, and we'll see ya real soon!
