Welcome to the WDW Moms Panel!
The food can be very expensive. In fact, on our last vacation to WDW, I was a little sticker-shocked by some of the meals.
The
coupon that you mentioned is for quick-service restaurants. These are counter-service locations that offer fast food type meals. However, the coupon is only good for the holiday week in which it is offered. WDW likely released this coupon in order to steer families to dine at earlier times of the day in order to help crowd flows during the busy Easter week.
With 3 teens, I understand your concerns in managing dining costs. Try filling up at places such as Pecos Bill's restaurant that offers a fixins bar in order to get the most from your meal. While teens don't usually eat small meals, if you do have any light eaters, don't be afraid to order a Kid's meal. At Pinocchio's, you'll get a slice of pizza, drink and a cookie or fruit, for example.
Fill up on a breakfast buffet. Try Trail's End at Fort Wilderness for good eats at lower prices! A breakfast buffet can also serve as a brunch and keep the troops happy for breakfast AND lunch.
Earl of Sandwich in Downtown Disney has great sandwiches at reasonable prices!
Also look at www.mousesavers.com for restaurants that do offer coupons (or other savings). These restaurants are often located at Downtown Disney such as Planet Hollywood or at the WDW Swan and Dolphin hotels.
Best wishes!
