Hi - I am a single mother planning on taking my 11 yr old son to DW this November. We are only staying 3 full days. We know we want to do Universal Studios one day but I'm not sure which Disney parks for his age we should do the other two... Please help!

Stacey this is always a dilemma but a good one as there is so much to see and do at Walt Disney World you will never be bored during your stay!

If this is your sons first trip then I have to say you must see the Magic Kingdom for one day. This is the park that Walt Disney dreamed about to bring the magic to all people of the world. Just walking down Main Street to see the castle ahead will be a memory.  And it isn't all just about little kids attractions. Some of Disney's best are here and include Space Mountain, Splash Mountain, Thunder Mountain (under rehab for next few months), and Pirates of the Caribbean. There are so many more great things to do here as well.

The second park is harder to choose for an eleven year old.  If he has a strong interest in animals then the Animal Kingdom park would be my choice. There are many great animal interactions and also thrill rides to please that age.  EPCOT is huge and broken into two parts with the World Showcase being a good place to "visit" other countries. Future World is the place for the attractions which include Spaceship Earth, Soarin, Mission Space, and Test Track and more.  This park emits a bit more educational feel but don't let that stop you from thinking you can't enjoy it.  It is one of our favorite parks of all four!

The last park, Hollywood Studios, would probably be my suggestion for you and your son.  This park is full of fun from Star Tours to Toy Story Mania. For thrills you will want to enjoy Tower of Terror and Rock n Roller Coaster!  There are a couple of great shows, Indiana Jones and Lights, Motors, Action Extreme Stunt Show. Muppets 3D will bring you to laughter and if you have a budding artist be sure and stop by the Magic of Disney Animation.

Any park you choose according to your interests will be a fun filled day.  Enjoy this great vacation with your son!
