I am a single mom with a 2 year old and am planning a weekend trip. She really loves Mickey Mouse and the gang and I am not sure what activities I should plan for her age.

    Hi Melissa,

With a two-year-old you simply must plan to spend some time in the Magic Kingdom.  There are so many age-appropriate attractions for your daughter in this iconic park.  Not only that, the Magic Kingdom is where you can meet Mickey in person.  He greets guests daily at Town Square Theater on Main Street U.S.A.  Be sure to bring your camera and an autograph book.  Your daughter may enjoy getting Mickey's autograph as a memorable keepsake of her first meeting with "the big cheese" himself.

If you'd like to dine with Mickey and friends, make a reservation at Chef Mickey's in Disney's Contemporary Resort.  That's only a short monorail ride away from the Magic Kingdom.  At this enchanting restaurant, you can watch the monorails glide overhead while Mickey, Donald, Chip, Dale, and Goofy rotate from table to table to interact with guests.  It is an awesome character dining experience.  You can make reservations here by calling (407)WDW-DINE.

Since little ones are big fans of parades, I'd make sure to catch one of the magical parades that travels down Main Street U.S.A. in the Magic Kingdom.  That's a great place to see plenty of Disney characters and enjoy some catchy Disney music.  Parade schedules are published on free Times Guides available as you enter the park.

If you have time to visit a second Disney theme park, head on over to Disney's Hollywood Studios.  There are some incredible preschooler-friendly attractions there.  I bet your daughter would love seeing Jake and the Neverland Pirates at Disney Junior-Live on Stage!  You can dine with stars of the Disney Channel at Hollywood & Vine too.

Let us know, Melissa, if you need more suggestions.  We've got plenty!

Best wishes for a magical weekend with your daughter!
