I am a single mom who would like to take her 11 year old to Disney, the easiest and most cost effective way. I thought a package would be the best bet. Any suggestions on the Month to book it? I am flexible because she will take off school.

    Hi Joanie!

I'm so glad to hear that you and your daughter will be taking Walt Disney World vacation very soon!

I'd absolutely suggest booking a package that includes the Disney Dining Plan.  In my opinion, it gives you a really good idea about what your budget will be for your vacation (minus souvenirs)  and that is always a bonus in my book!

Now, I'm going to share with you my most favorite page on disneyworld.com!  Are you ready?!  It's the Walt Disney World Special Offers page!  Many times you'll be able to book under a Special Offer that could offer substantial savings, and even free dining!  Yes, that's right..free dining!  That's a pretty big bonus in my book!

When to go...ideally, I would book under a promotion to save the most money.  If you're travel schedule is flexible, then I'd suggest November--avoiding the holidays, December--avoiding Christmas and New Years, January and February are great times as well--again, avoiding long weekends.  You'll even see that September can be a great time to go--if you plan your trip after schools are back in session.

Have a magical vacation and do come back and see us!
