Ahoy Gail!
Thanks so much for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question.
I'm so happy to hear you're considering taking your little one on a Disney Cruise Line vacation in January! You'll be amazed at how the Cast Members will make you feel comfortable and at home from the moment you step onboard the ship. There are so many events and activities you can enjoy and experience together, and also lots of fun things you can each do on your own.
The
Youth Clubs on the Disney ships are amazing, with highly trained Youth Counselors watching the children and leading activities throughout the day. The
Oceaneer Club and
Oceaneer Lab welcome little ones ages 3-12. If your daughter is a little apprehensive about visiting on her own, no worries! The Youth Clubs have Open House hours each day where the two of you can visit together, exploring the spaces and getting to know the counselors. Hopefully, once your little princess has met the counselors, and seen all the magical fun she'll have in the club, she'll feel confident enough to let you drop her off for a while so you can explore the ship on your own. If you want to take a moment and speak with one of the counselors about your daughter's anxiousness, they can be on the lookout for her when she visits, and help to make sure she feels comfortable.
I hope this helps relieve any worries about planning your Disney Cruise Line vacation. They go above and beyond to make sure every guest has the most magical experience possible!
Thanks again for stopping by. Have a magical day! - Diane W.
