Hiya, Amy! I’m thrilled to hEAR about your family’s upcoming Disneyland Resort vacation! I’ve been taking my three kids to the parks, mostly by myself, for the past seven years, and I’m happy to report that there are many attractions you can ride as a family. Typically, you should be able to sit three in a row on most attractions. Also, a great tool for checking height requirements is
the Attractions page, which can be filtered by height. This will help you narrow down the attractions that will work for your family, based on your 4-year-old’s height.
Some of my family’s favorite attractions to ride together include “it’s a small world”, Pirates of the Caribbean, Jungle Cruise, Casey Jr. Circus Train, Disneyland Railroad, Disneyland Monorail, Toy Story Midway Mania!, Monster’s Inc. Mike & Sulley to the Rescue!, Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree, and Luigi’s Rollickin’ Roadsters. Also, be sure to check out as many shows, parades and play spaces as you can – my kids love Mickey’s Soundsational Parade, Disney Junior Dance Party!, and running around Mickey's Toontown and Redwood Creek Challenge Trail.
If you find yourself needing a moment to rest and recharge, I recommend stopping by the
Baby Care Centers, available at both parks. I know your children are older, but these Centers are still a great spot to catch your breath.
Lastly, don’t forget to
download the Disneyland app. Use it to check wait times, find favorite Characters, and even order food and drinks -- this is a game changer when dining with a preschooler!
Wishing you Disney magic!
