i am a single mom who is trying to plan wdw vaca for myself, my 9 yr old daughter and 11 yr old son. I am a little nervous about travelling without another adult.... any suggesitons?

    Hi there Kathy!

I've enjoyed several Walt Disney World Resort vacations as the only adult in my travel party with my son and daughter in tow. I've also experienced one solo-adult trip with my two nieces when they were right around the same ages as your two children.

One of the best parts about visiting Mickey Mouse and Pals is the family-friendly, safe environment in which cast members go out of their way to make certain everyone is having a magical time! Since you will be in charge of all of the the park touring, meal planning and map navigating, try to add some down time in your itinerary that includes something special just for YOU! Yes, this trip will mostly revolve around the children, but single parents have definitely earned some time on their own to recharge their batteries!

Simply check out the Children's Activity Centers and make a reservation at (407) WDW-DINE. Same day walk-ins are also welcome but, will be based on availability. Even if you are only away from each other for a short period of time, Walt Disney World Resort has plenty of fabulous activities that are meant only for adults for you to enjoy! Perhaps some spa time would be the perfect way to celebrate this single parent accomplishment!

Thanks for taking the time to visit us at the Walt Disney World Moms Panel and feel free to send more questions our way in the days leading up to your trip! May your Disney vacation be practically perfect in every way!
