I am a single mom travelling with my 12 year old son to WDW in Oct. I noticed there are no packages for one adult one child - any ideas?

    Hi Daneen,

As I am a single mother as well, I do know that there are no "special" packages available for us and that your son will basically just be like a second paying adult.  I have found that when I am on a budget, I will stay in a "value" resort as these are quite affordable (especially if you are going in the off season!).  I also find if for example you were planning a cruise on any cruise line, they also do not offer "special" deals for single parents, but rather kids sail free, but only with 2 paying adults first so we really don't have many options anywhere that I have noticed which are specifically tailored to single parents.  A vacation to Walt Disney World with one parent and one child (even when this child is paying the adult price), there really is not a big noticeable difference in my opinion.  I hope you decide to go anyways and enjoy this very magical place....It is a trip he will remember always and that "one on one" time with his mom will be priceless!

    Best wishes,
