hello, i am a single mom, traveling alone with a 8 years old and a 5 years old, girls, I know they both will love the parks, but i am worried that the 8 years old wants to go in rides that the little one can not go, so can someone advise me on what to do?

    Hi Yerlin,

I think you'll be okay.  There aren't a lot of attractions with really tall height requirements.  Unless your little one is extremely small, she'll be able to ride most of the attractions.  If she is at least 40 inches tall, there will be only a few things she won't be able to experience, and chances are, your 8 year old won't be tall enough either.

Even if your youngest hasn't reached the magical height, I think there will be more than enough to keep the three of you busy that you'll hardly notice attractions with height requirements.  Here are some of my favorite things that you can all enjoy together:

    • Magic Kingdom: Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin, everything in Fantasyland, Haunted Mansion
    • Epcot: Spaceship Earth, Phineas and Ferb World Showcase Adventure, The Seas with Nemo and Friends
    • Animal Kingdom: Kilimanjaro Safari, Legend of the Lion King, Finding Nemo
    • Hollywood Studios: Toy Story Midway Mania, Beauty and the Beast, Muppet Vision 3D, plus this is where you can meet your favorite characters from Toy Story and Monsters Inc.

Hope this helps.  Have a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
