I am a single mom with a one-year-old and three-year-old, I desperately need some alone time to sit with a book and just read in the sunshine. I don't need nights. I see the group babysitting for my one-year-old, but what about my three-year-old?

    Ahoy there, Carolyn!

Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question for us.

I hear ya, Carolyn. It’s not easy being a single parent, let alone caring for littles ones all on your own. However, I believe a Disney Cruise is a perfect getaway for your family – you’ll get to sneak in some alone time while the kiddos are cared for by Youth Activity Counselors!

I see you’re aware of “it’s a small world” nursery! Your 1-year-old will be looked after by the caring, attentive Disney counselors. As for your 3-year-old, you can opt to have your child in the “it’s a small world” nursery! with your 1-year-old as well. Or if he/she is potty-trained, they can join in on all the fun happening in Disney’s Oceaneer Club and Disney’s Oceaneer Lab. (Please note: Childcare at “it’s a small world” nursery! will incur an additional fee.)

While your young Sailors are away having a great time, it’s time to pamper YOU! Interested in a spa treatment? Senses Spa & Salon offers massages, manicures, pedicures, facials and much more. Wanting to curl up with a book in the sunshine? Check out the Adults-Only Quiet Cove pool area on every ship for some peace and quiet.

As you continue to plan a sailing on the Disney Cruise Line, please don’t hesitate to visit us on planDisney again if you have further questions.

    Have a magical day,
    Kiki

Meet the Panelist: Kiki, California

Greetings! I have been fascinated by the magic of Disney since I was a little girl; now that I am a mother of two, I love watching my children experience Disney Parks through their own eyes. I am also surrounded by fellow Disney-loving nurse friends whom I enjoy quick adults-only Disneyland Resort escapes or Disney Cruise Line voyages with. Whether you are planning your once-in-a-lifetime family trip or a short adults-only getaway to the Happiest Place on Earth, I am here to help!
