I am a single mom coming to WDW on May 18 - 23 with a 22 month old and a 13 year old. It is the first time for both and I would like to maximise the enjoyment for both children. Any suggestions.”
Hi there Rachael!
Sounds like you are going to have a wonderful time! The first time is always so magical and you will have two distinct experiences with the kids! Here are my children's most favorite rides and shows! While your 22 month old will not be able to go on the thrill rides, your 13 year old will love them!
Magic Kingdom...
Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin, Tomorrowland Speedway, Haunted Mansion, It's a Small World, and Pirates of the Caribbean, Space, Big Thunder and Splash Mountains, PhilharMagic
Don't miss: Both Parades, Wishes Fireworks, and catch a Dream Along With Mickey Show!
Hollywood Studios...
Muppet Vision 3D movie, Toy Story Mania!; Lights, Motors, Rock-n-Roller Coaster, Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, Shows: Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular, Action! Extreme Stunt Show, Beauty and the Beast, “Disney Junior - Live on Stage!”
Don't miss: Fantasmic!
Epcot...
Soarin', The Seas with Nemo and Friends (specially Turtle Talk with Crush), Test Track, Spaceship Earth, Innoventions, Journey into Imagination with Figment, and World Showcase
Don't miss: Illuminations: Refections of Earth
Animal Kingdom...
Kilimanjaro Safari, Kali River Rapids, Maharajah Jungle Trek, Pangani Forest Exploration Trail, Triceratops Spin, Dinosaur the ride, and Everest!
Shows: Festival of the Lion King, Finding Nemo - The Musical
Check the times guide when you arrive so that you know what time all of the parades and shows start.
The Parks are large so you may not get to do everything on the list. The most important thing to remember is to have fun plan ahead and know where all of the rides are prior to arrival! Ask your child which rides he/she wants to go on and do those first... I hope you have a Magical Time! If you have any other questions we are here to help!
