I am a single mom who would like to bring my kids to disneyland for a vacations. howvee, my younger one is only 5 and she cannot play most of the rides and the elder one does not wish to ride alone. and I dont think i can leave the younger to cast member.

Greetings, Wai! Welcome to planDisney. I love that you want to share the magic of Disneyland with your kids. As a mom, I have lots of experience bringing little ones to the Happiest Place on Earth, so I'm here to help!

Even the youngest of Guests can enjoy many of the attractions, shows, and other activities throughout the park. My daughter, Ava, first visited Disneyland when she was two years old. She was scared of most rides, so we started small, with the King Arthur Carrousel, "it's a small world," the Disneyland Railroad, and similar attractions with a low thrill factor. Eventually, she was interested in trying other attractions and worked her way up to Big Thunder Mountain Railroad! She and my older daughter have had many laughs together, even without going on the bigger attractions.

Wai, you are correct that children should be supervised at all times. Guests younger than 14 must be accompanied by a Guest age 14 or older, and Cast Members cannot be responsible for watching a child. However, that doesn't mean you can't have the most magical day! I'd encourage you to visit the Attractions and Rides page on the Disneyland website and use the "All Filters" button to check out rides by height, age, thrill level, and more. You'll find many options for families with young kids.

For example, some of the classics, like Pirates of the Caribbean, Mad Tea Party, Dumbo, Jungle Cruise, and Haunted Mansion, do not have height requirements! And if your five-year-old is at least 40 inches tall, she will be able to ride some of my family's favorite attractions, including Rise of the Resistance and Tiana's Bayou Adventure!

Another way to add magic to your visit is to meet beloved characters throughout the park. My kids love saying "hi" to Mickey and his pals at Town Square and stepping into the Royal Hall to greet Disney Princesses! I suggest bringing an autograph book for each of your kids so they can get signatures from the characters they encounter. We also love the storytelling shows at the Royal Theatre. Of course, no day at Disneyland is complete without snacks, like popcorn, a Mickey Mouse pretzel, and Dole Whip.

Wai, I hope this information has been helpful in planning your Disney vacation. If you have any other questions, please let us know. We're happy to help!

    Have a magical day!
