Single mom with boys 6 and 8. Is it appropriate to take both into ladies room or is 8 too old? Should we use the companion restrooms instead? Thanks for your help!

    Hi Tracy,

You question is a great one.  I think this will depend on how your boys are feeling about this situation.  I have an eight year old girl, and she really doesn't want to go to the Men's bathroom even if the line is long in our restroom.  As far as etiquette goes, I have seen boys in the women's restroom, especially the younger ones.  I remember when my son wanted to go to by himself.  It was hard to let him go and do this.  The companion bathrooms would be the perfect solution, but they are not always available.  I would encourage you to talk with your boys and see how they feel about the situation.  I do always have to remind my kids to wash their hands even when I am with them!  I guess some things may never change.  Let me know if I can help you further, Tracy.  Have a magical vacation.
