I am a single father with two children travelling to WDW. Their ages are 8 and 9, and I was wondering if one should happen to "chicken out" on a ride, are there cast members to watch the child while dad and the other go on the ride?

    Hi Kevin,

Bad news I am afraid, there will not really be many options for you with this scenario.  Cast Members will not watch children while parents go on attractions I am sorry to say.  Unless you hire a babysitter/childminder privately to come to the parks with you and your children so if this does happen, you will have a hired person that could look after one of your children while the other goes on the ride with you.  That is the only thing that I can think of for your situation or just say "okay" and move on to some other attraction that better suits them both.  I also am a single parent, but only to one daughter, so I would not have this same situation happen to myself and I feel for your predicament.  I hope you have a magical visit to Walt Disney World and that both of your children will want to join you in most of the attractions.

    Best wishes,
