I am a single dad with a 9 and a 10 year old. One child likes to ride rides, one doesn't. Is there some place for the other child to wait if I ride with the other? He doesn't need supervision, but I don't want him kidnapped and want him to feel safe.

    Hi Chuck!

I can empathize with you because being a Single Parent often provides unique challenges as well as opportunities.  If one of your children does not like to ride rides and the other one does, my recommendation to you is to find things to do they all three of you will have a fun time doing, such as going to shows or 3D attractions.  There really is no one to watch your child while you ride the rides with your other child and I wouldn't advise leaving them alone even though Walt Disney World is an extremely safe place. My advice to you would be to find another adult, like a relative, to come on vacation with you or even better yet, find another Single Dad and their family to vacation with you.  If you had another adult with you you can use the Rider Swap to enable someone to be with your child at all times and still have both adults experience the rides.

I hope that you and your family make some magical memories on your next trip to Walt Disney World!
