Ahoy there, Chris! Welcome aboard planDisney!
Ah,
Cabo San Lucas. One of my absolute favorite Ports of Call in the entire Disney Cruise Line itineraries list! We stopped there for a day during our Westbound Panama Canal itinerary back in 2017, and we probably have some of the best memories of the entire 14-night trip from that stop!
While we booked a Port Adventure during our day there, we did have an opportunity to stroll around the port after we returned! There's plenty to see and do right there around the Marina area! Oh, I forgot to mention, Cabo is one of the ports that requires tendering, just so you're aware. There's really nothing like looking back at the
Disney Wonder from shore to give you a sense of how beautiful all the Disney Cruise Line ships are!
If you get off the ship early, there likely will be a lot of commotion at the marinas, as Port Adventure groups will be heading off on their activities, but as lunchtime approaches, the restaurants and shops really begin to come alive! I don't think a stop on the Baha peninsula would be complete without popping into a taqueria for some fish tacos. You really can't go wrong with any of the places right there in port! Downtown is a bit far away of a walk, but from the nearly ubiquitous coffee shops to local stalls and more upscale options, you definitely won't go hungry.
I would suggest at least looking into some
Port Adventures - since such a big part of the beauty of Cabo is where the land and sea meet, some of the best views come from any of the Port Adventures that take you just off the coast and into view of El Arco!
No matter what you decide, though, I'm sure you'll have a magical day! Thank you for sailing my way with your question, Chris! If any others surface while you continue planning, please drop me another line here at planDisney!
Until then, I wish you fair winds and following seas!
Andrew
