Hey there, Patti. Welcome to
planDisney. Thanks for dropping by to chit-chat with us about your upcoming Walt Disney World vacation.
Patti, I think you'll be happy to know that you can definitely bring outside food and beverages with you to the
Walt Disney World Theme Parks. However, there are a
few guidelines to follow when you are packing your picnic. The first thing I want to mention is that glass containers are not permitted inside of the theme parks. You'll need to leave glass bottles and containers at home and instead pack in something plastic that's not breakable. Outside alcohol is also not permitted. Lastly, when packing your cooler, loose ice and dry ice are no longer permitted in the theme parks. To keep your items cold, I'd recommend reusable gel packs instead. Also, please keep in mind that there isn't anywhere to heat up your outside food and beverages. You'll want to pack things that can either be enjoyed cold or at room temperature. Other than those few things, you are able to bring in pretty much whatever you would like.
One thing I like to leave at home when I am packing my snack bag is actually bottled water. You can get free cups of ice water at any
quick-service dining location throughout Walt Disney World. All you do is visit the counter where you order and ask for a water. The Cast Member working will be more than happy to get this for you. In fact, this has become so popular, oftentimes they will have some cups of ice water premade. Leaving the bottled water at home and utilizing this instead makes the bag much less heavy, especially at the beginning of the day.
Patti, I hope this helps! If you have any other questions, please feel free to stop back by and
ask me. I'm here to help.
Have a magical time!
Jackie H.
