I have a similar question to anothers, but I have tried each evening at the open of restaurants for the new day to book blue bayou to find no availability. I find this hard to believe. Is it open come March and do others have a way of getting in earlier?

Greetings Mario! Welcome to planDisney. We want to thank you for stopping by with this great question.

I'm sorry to hear that you are having trouble securing the dining reservations you are hoping for. Blue Bayou seems to be quite popular lately. This paired with Disneyland Resort's commitment to the health and safety of Guests and Cast Members is probably why you are having some trouble finding availability. From past experience, it seems that 3:00 a.m. Pacific Standard Time seems to be the magical time that reservations unlock 60 days out.

Don't fret, I've got a few tips that may help you out. I suggest you continue to check the reservation system, especially a couple days leading up to your trip. I was able to get the reservations I wanted for Carnation Cafe earlier this month just a few days before my trip. This is because cancellations need to be made 24 hours before your reservation time in order to avoid cancellation fees, so the days leading up to that date could be the time you snag that magical reservation when other people change plans and cancel.

If you still come up short and you have arrived to the parks, I would also suggest that you swing by Blue Bayou when they open and kindly inquire if they have any openings that day. Of course there is no guarantee, but it doesn't hurt to ask.

A back-up option would be to see if Ralph Brennan's Jazz Kitchen located in Downtown Disney has reservations for the day you are looking for. There aren't any sailors looking for Pirates floating by, but it does have that Louisiana vibe and some delicious cajun cuisine.

Mario, I hope some of these suggestions are helpful as you plan your trip. Whereever your adventure leads you, I hope you have the most magical time at The Happiest Place on Earth. Be sure to stop by and bring us any other questions you might have.
