Hi Mychal,
Welcome back to planDisney and thank you for asking us another great Disney Cruise Line question!
How do you make a voyage aboard Disney Cruise Line even better? By sharing the fun with friends! I’ve got a sailing coming up this summer with a group of first-time cruisers and I can’t wait to share the Magic aboard the
Disney Magic with them.
Based on my experience, booking windows for
Port Adventures and other plans will only become available for each cabin as each
Castaway Club Member level is reached. That means that, if your booking window opens before theirs and your friends are travelling in another cabin, their names will be “greyed out” when you try to reserve something for them ahead of time.
That said, I highly recommend that you make your own selections as soon as your window opens. I’ve had pretty decent luck with checking availability regularly before my sailing to be able to snag extra spots for my friends. I’ve even been able to expand my reservation once onboard to add extra people for
Palo Brunch, for example. The bottom line: keep checking and be sure to ask what your options are once you board the ship!
I hope my answer helps you plan the perfect sailing for you and your friends. Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions.
Have a Magical Day,
Lynne
