Might be a silly question, but for le celliar I had to put down my credit card number, I guess to hold the reservation? Does this mean that my meal there will be charged to my card? Or will they just charge your card for not showing up? thanks!!!

    Hi Alexis!

First off, great job in snagging a reservation at Le Cellier. That's one of the most popular restaurants in all of Walt Disney World, so reservations can be very hard to come by.

As for your question, it definitely wasn't silly. In fact, it was a great question! For uber-popular restaurants like Le Cellier, the purpose of putting a credit card on file is merely to hold the reservation. (So, you were correct!)

When a guest is a no-show for one of these reservations, or a cancellation is not made within the prescribed window of time prior to the reservation, a $10 surcharge per guest will be made against the credit card on file.

However, when your time comes to savor the tender steaks, decadent desserts, and mind-blowing wines at Le Cellier, the credit card you put on file to secure your spot at this gastronomical delight of a restaurant will not be charged. (Man...I'm hungry all of a sudden!) Instead, you can use your preferred method of payment at the end of your culinary adventure (e.g. the same credit card, a different credit card, your Disney Dining Plan entitlements, etc.).

Here's a little tip from your buddy Derek:

Even if the weather is hot, opt for the Canadian Cheddar Cheese Soup as an appetizer. This, along with some of their pretzel bread, is the perfect warm-up to a marathon of a meal.

I hope that helps! If you should have any other questions, please feel free to send them my way. Otherwise, bon appetit!

    Best regards,
    Derek
