Hey there Sarah and welcome to planDisney. You have touched on one of my favorite souvenirs at Walt Disney World Resort: handcrafted silhouettes at Disney Springs and Magic Kingdom Park. When we had our first silhouettes made I could not believe that an artist could capture my child's profile so quickly. Did you know they will even make silhouettes of your pets or other family members not with you if you provide a picture? Yep, they can and they can even add in your favorite Disney character. Now that is a magical souvenir.
I am so sorry that your frame is cracked. Is it at all possible to repair it with adhesive and some model paint? If not then unfortunately, there is no way to order this particular item directly from Disney however I do have some information that will help you get a replacement oval frame. If you are looking for an oval frame it will need to be one that fits a 5 x 7 picture. There are stores on Etsy, craft shops like Michaels, and big stores such as Target and Amazon that have similar frames. The best ones I have seen are bespoke from online craft stores. I also checked
shopDisney to see if they had any oval frames available similar to the ones sold at the
Silhouette Portrait Carts and as of now, they do not. Please note that Silhouette Portrait Carts are mobile and their location is subject to change.
planDisney Pro Tip: When I want an item I usually crowdsource to see who is visiting a Disney Park in the near future. It seems like someone I know is at
Walt Disney World Resort or
Disneyland Resort every day of the year.
