I am signing up for the Princess 1/2 in 13. My fam would be coming with me. If they do not get into the chEAR squad can they still get into the park to cheer me on or are those areas just for chEar squad? Also, do the parks open to the public on race morn?

Hi Julie!  The Princess Half Marathon is amazing!  Running down Main Street USA is so emotional, and I always get an extra burst of energy when I see the castle!

The best part of that stretch of the course is that your family and friends can be there to cheer you on!  They do not have to be a part of the chEAR squad or even have park tickets for that day to stand on Main Street.  Anyone can come in to cheer on the runners.  All the runners will be through the park before the 9a.m. opening time, so they just clear the spectators out and open the park as usual.

The castle is around mile 5 of the race, and since it starts so early, that is why it is clear before park opening time.

I hope this answers your question!  Please let me know if I can help with any more as you prepare for the Princess Half!  Good luck with your training!
