Hi, my significant other is returning from the army in December for the holidays and wanted to go to Disneyland. I wanted to ask where he can purchase his tickets and if there is black out dates to when he can use his military discount?

    Hiya, Angela!

    Welcome to planDisney!

Oh Boy! This sounds like a VERY merry visit to The Happiest Place on Earth indeed! Mine is a Military Family too and you are so, so very smart for taking advantage of the Military ticket deals while you can. Pro Tip: Take this time now, before your visit, to make a list (and check it twice!) of all of the seasonal Holiday snacks you'd both like to enjoy!

There are two types of Theme Park Admission Tickets available to eligible U.S. Service Members, however, both are only available for purchase from an ITT/MWR location at a state-side post or base. The most commonly known ticket (the 3 or 4-Day U.S. Military Promotional Park Hopper Ticket, a.k.a. the "Disney Salute" ticket) does have a last-day of use of December 16.

The second ticket is a slightly discounted regular theme park admission ticket, that unfortunately doesn't have a cool or catchy name. These are standard 1-Park or Park Hopper passes that can be used on any Disney day, and can be purchased as 1-day, 2-day, 3-day, 4-day, or 5-day tickets. Do note that these passes follow the standard multi-day ticket rule that all remaining redemption days are only valid for up to 13 days from the first day of use. To find the price list for these passes, google the base or post ticket office nearest you; once on their website, you should find a downloadable ticket price sheet.

Once you have your tickets, be sure to upload them to your My Disneyland Account or your Disneyland Mobile App so you can make your Park Pass Reservations. Park Pass Reservations are needed for every Guest, so Mickey knows which park you plan to play in and on which day. Guests who select the Park Hopper option will select the theme park in which they plan on starting their Disney day. To better help you plan your visit, hEARs the current Park Pass Reservation Availability Calendar.

I hope that this helped to clEAR your question up, Angela, and that you and your true love can spend some magical Disney days together!
