    We have signed up for the WDW Star Wars The Dark Side half marathon in April 2016. How soon before the race does Disney normally post race specific travel packages?

    Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, NaLisa! 

    And welcome to The Dark Side! I hope you are looking forward to participating in this inaugural race at Walt Disney World® Resort. 

    This race will not be offering any travel packages available directly through runDisney. The good news is all Walt Disney World® Resort Hotels will be considered "Host Hotels" for this galactic race - so regardless of where you choose to stay, you will have access to event transportation to all race activities. 

    However, another option is to book a travel package through an official runDisney Travel Provider. I've used Get Travel Sports myself and have always had success. To view a list of these outsourced travel providers, visit the Star Wars Half Marathon Weekend - The Dark Side event page on the runDisney website and select the REGISTRATION tab. From there, you will select the Travel Providers tab for a list of options. Select the highlighted link to get started. Bookings through runDisney travel Providers are already available.
