    I signed up for the Tinkerbell 1/2 marathon in Jan 2014 and wanted mykids to do the kids run Sat. When I went back to register them, it was already sold out! I contacted rundisney but they don't take wait lists. I already emailed the charities. Ideas? Thx!

    Hi Elizabeth!

    I am so sorry that the race was sold out.  The Kids Races are very popular, and the spots are definitely limited.  The charity groups generally don't hold spots for the kids events, just the main races of the weekend.

    I don't know how old your kids are, but there are still spots open in the Neverland Family Fun Run 5K during your race weekend.  .  It is a very laid back race (3.1 miles) that a lot of families complete together.  My boys did their first 5K races when they were around age 6.  It would definitely require a little bit of training ahead of time (relaxed training), but you would have plenty of time to get them ready.  The race isn't timed (the 5K's haven't been in the past, but it is always subject to change).  They just ask that you keep up a 16 minute-mile pace.
