Hello! We just signed up for our first Princess Half! So excited. We're thinking of doing a 2-day park ticket. What days would you recommend going to the parks? We'll get there early Friday and leave Monday. Thanks for your advice!

    Hi Traci!

Thank you for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

Congratulations on signing up for the Princess Half Marathon!  It's a really great race weekend.

I love having some park time during my visits, too.  My first thought for you would be to get there Friday and check-in your resort.  Then, head to the runDisney Health and Fitness expo to pick up your packet and shop (trust me, you will want to spend some time looking around).  Friday evening would be a fun night to visit Disney Springs (no ticket required) and have a good meal somewhere there.

Saturday you could hit the parks early and still get back to your resort to get to bed at a decent time.

Sunday morning you run your race, then head back to shower and get a quick nap in the room.  Put on your race shirt and medal and head back out to a park (I recommend the Magic Kingdom) to get some great "bling" pictures! Stay at the park until it closes.  I love the parks at night, they feel even more magical!

That would be my ideal weekend!  Obviously, you can change your days around.  Some people may feel too tired to visit parks after a race, but I love getting photos in front of the castle with my medal... especially a PRINCESS medal!

I hope this helps!  Please let me know if you have any other questions.
