Hi Ami,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! The
Disney Deluxe Dining Plan is my favorite dining plan!
If you are using the 2018 Disney Deluxe Dining Plan for a quick-service meal, you will receive one entrée and one beverage. Please see the
plan details for more specific information. For lunch or dinner, each guest 3-years old and over on the dining plan will receive one appetizer, one entrée, one dessert and one beverage. If you dine at a buffet, you would receive one full buffet for one meal entitlement.
When you arrive at each restaurant, your server will explain what is included on the menu as part of your dining plan. To get the most value out of the Disney Deluxe Dining Plan, we typically dine at table-service restaurants. There are two quick-service restaurants that we especially enjoy, however - ABC Commissary in Disney's Hollywood Studios and Sunshine Seasons in Epcot.
I do have one budgeting suggestion. When my family last used the Disney Deluxe Dining Plan, we dined at more table-service meals than we generally do. I did not plan for the additional tips we would need to leave the cast members who served us. Now, I create a chart and plan all of our meals so that I know which are table-service and which are quick-service. I use restaurant menus to calculate the tip. The
dinner menu at Coral Reef restaurant, for example gives me a good idea of the prices so that I can estimate the tip.
Ami, remember to consider dining at one or two signature restaurants. The experience is spectacular!
Magic, memories and Minnie Mouse hugs,
Donyell
