    what is signature dining mean

If you'd allow me to exaggerate if only slightly, Jan, I'd tell you that signature dining at Disney is like tasting a little bite of heaven.  Technically, the term "signature dining" is a fancy way of classifying restaurants.  Disney's signature dining locations are among the finest available on property.  When you visit one, you can and should expect gourmet menu items, first-class service and a more sophisticated ambiance than you'll find in some of the more casual restaurants in the theme parks and resort hotels.  You should also expect to find that pricing is set accordingly; signature restaurants are a bit more costly than others.  Even guests on the dining plan pay a premium because dining at a signature restaurant will cost two meal credits as opposed to the standard one.  Visit THIS page to find a thorough list of Disney's signature restaurants.  Bon appetit!
