Signature Dining: (DDP) Boathouse (Main course, dessert and drink) 1. Can we eat anything off the menu? 2. We will use two credits each, can we order 2 alcohol drinks each as part of the plan? 3. Are sides included or do we pay more?

    Hi Denise!
    Welcome to planDisney.

Thank you for asking this question!  We are so pleased to see the long-awaited return of the Disney dining plans and I'm very happy to explain how they work, and what you will receive.

Firstly, The BOATHOUSE is a fantastic choice of restaurant - located right on the waterfront at Disney Springs.  It's one of my favourite restaurants to stop by for a nice lunch, and equally as enjoyable during the evening.  You must take some time to watch the Amphicars as they head into the water - they are quite remarkable.  If the fancy takes you, enjoy a 20-minute guided tour of the lake - bookings can be made inside the restaurant.

When using the Disney Dining Plan, for each night of stay, each guest will receive 1 Table-Service Meal; 1 Quick-Service meal; 1 Alcoholic/Non-Alcoholic drink with each meal; and 1 Snack or Drink.  Also Included in the price of your Disney Dining Plan is a Resort Refillable Mug.  This can be used for unlimited refills of a selection of fountain drinks, including sugar-free versions, and hot drinks such as coffee, tea and hot chocolate, at the beverage stations found at the Quick-Service locations at all Disney Resort hotels for the length of your dining plan.  It's also worth noting that you will find a sink next to all the beverage stations so you can rinse your mug before your next refill.

As a general rule, all Signature Dining (including The BOATHOUSE) and Character Dining locations require 2 Table-Servcie meals from your dining plan, per person.  It is entirely down to the discretion of each restaurant whether all menu items are included in the dining plans. One alcoholic or non-alcoholic drink is included with your meal.  Unless it's stated on the menu that sides are included with the entree, you will be required to pay for any sides, also you will be welcome to add anything to your dining plan meal, which you can pay cash for, including extra drinks.  Your server at any restaurant will explain the menu in full detail about what is permitted as part of your dining plan.

Your Disney Dining Plan can be used from the day you arrive, up to midnight on your check-out day (subject to having any meals or snacks remaining on your balance).

Restaurants (table-service and quick-service) across the whole Resort that accept a Disney Dining Plan are listed here.

You can use your dining plan in any way you want to - maybe you'll find you need it for more meals one day, and less on another (for example, using 2 table-service meals for signature dining on one day, then paying cash for a less expensive meal the next day), and any time you want to check your balance you can find it on your My Disney Experience mobile app, or at the bottom of any dining receipt.  If you'd like a copy of all your dining plan transactions, and how many you have left you can stop by the Front Desk of your Disney Resort hotel and ask a Cast Member for a print-out.

Please come back and visit us if you have any further questions, and you can send me a direct question if you wish.  We will be very happy to help you plan your magical holiday at Walt Disney World Resort.
