How do I sign my two daughters up for activities while my husband and I enjoy a little quite time :) When I go into the planning area it only shows port activities, spa and dining. Thanks for you help. We will be sailing Mar 1,12 on the Disney Dream

    Hi, Thomas!

On the Disney Dream, you'll find a variety of supervised kids' activities, broken up - and separated by - age.

Disney Cruise Line (DCL) has an introduction to adults-only activities for first-time Disney cruisers on its Web site; additionally, you can find more information online about the variety of activities geared to young people.

When your final payment has been remitted to DCL, you'll be able to sign your children up for the kids' clubs. Again, these are broken out by age but every group is supervised by an incredible staff of trained counselors (the Youth Activities Team). The signup process is part of the online check-in process you will want to have completed prior to boarding.

At the port, you will check your children in. Your family will receive a phone, and each child will receive an identification bracelet which is coded to the phone. You'll also need to establish a password for signing your children out of the clubs.

The counselors will contact you via phone if there are any problems, or if your child simply misses her parents and wants to check in.

The kids' clubs are open for most of the day. from 6:30 AM - after midnight, in some cases, depending on the itinerary! You'll just need to check your Personal Navigator to find out operating hours. And yes, counselors will take children to meals -- and even pick them up from scheduled dinner seatings.

I think you'll find that your daughters will really enjoy themselves on board. If you'd like more specific assistance, please contact me with your daughters' ages, and I can offer some other suggestions.

    Bon voyage!

    See you later, celebrator,
    -Deborah B.
