Howdy Jessika!
Welcome to planDisney. I’m so happy that you ran by with your question today. My wife and her bestie started their runDisney journey this past year, and they are having the most amazing time dressing up, running, and enjoying all of the neat experiences during race weekend. So let's lace up our running shoes and get to it.
Whether you’re like me here in Texas or in the land down under, the
runDisney website is your starting line for all things race-related. I was just on the website and saw that they've added dates for 3 races in 2027. It looks like the first race will be the Walt Disney World Marathon weekend. Registration for members of Club runDisney opens March 10th, 2026, and the general public opens March 17th.
The best way to stay informed on runDisney events is to sign up for their mailing list on the runDisney website. Once there, scroll down towards the bottom of the website, and you'll see the “Stay in Touch with runDisney” banner. There you will find the button to join the mailing list you were looking for, so you can get updates and news on runDisney events. When you click the link, you'll be prompted to log in with your My Disney Experience username and password, and from there you can opt in to the mailing list. I don’t foresee any issues with getting signed up, but if you do, my fellow panelist
Ana Paula suggests sending an email to
runDisney@disneysports.com so they can help you further.
Jessika, since we’re almost to the finish line, I would like to share a helpful tip. Races have become super popular and can fill up quickly. On registration day, I would be up early and log in to your My Disney Experience account so you can get into the virtual queue as soon as it opens. Be sure to know which race package you are interested in, and if there are any add-ons you may want to do in advance for a speedy checkout.
I hope you have a magical race!
See ya real soon,
Robert
